Country

 

Step 1

Choose whether you want to search by country or by organisation by adjusting the slider

By Country: List the different agreements that one or multiple countries are members of. 

By Organisation: List for the different members of one or multiple agreements.

 

Step 2

Enter the name of the countries/organisations

Start to enter the the name, or part of the name of the country/organisation or the agreements acronym and then select the right one from the drop down menu. 

Successfully selected countries/organisations will appear below the selection box. 

Repeat this process until all desired countries/organisations are selected. 

To remove a selected country, simply click on the “x” next to its name

 

Look for membership information

Step 3a: Leave the slider in the membership position

Step 4a: If desired, the search can be limited to a certain time range. If left empty, the search will include all years in the database. 

 

Look for treaty information

Step 3b: Adjust the slider to the Treaty position

Step 4b: Indicate whether you want the treaty texts of all agreements the country was ever a member of, only only the texts of currently active agreements by adjusting the slider. 

 

Step 5:  Press the button “Show results”

 

Using the results 

In the right-hand column, you will see the results for a particular search. 

For each agreement, you can click on the “details" link to get an overview of the all membership data, including suspensions, exits from agreements and observer states. You will also see the changes in the membership of the agreement on a world map.
